How does it work?
Construction
We use sandwich panels in combination with a thermally broken profile for building your freezer room; this prevents condensation and thermal bridging. Our skilled installation ensures a cold-bridge-free build and optimal insulation. A vapour-tight outer shell is achieved with plastic sealant on the joints and connections.
Floors
There are various methods for installing the floor and these depend strongly on the type of products for which the freezer room will be used. We offer a floor with ventilation battens and sandwich panels, covered with plywood for a lightweight version: so-called ‘catering cells’. For freezer rooms with shelving and forklift traffic, the floor is built from a recessed pit with a sand bed and underfloor heating. Insulation material is then applied and a concrete floor is poured.
Freezer door
With our freezer doors we complete the freezer room. These are fitted with a frame with cold bridge interruption and a heating strip to prevent freezing. Self-closing doors, air locks and draught curtains can be used to minimise cold loss. The installation of the freezer technology and energy management is carried out by one of our reliable installers.

Freezer swing door or freezer sliding door?
Freezer doors are refrigeration doors used in freezer rooms, among other applications. The main differences between the freezer swing door and freezer sliding door are:
- The freezer sliding door slides to the side, which is an efficient solution for rapid throughput and loading and unloading while driving. Does the door need to open at high frequency? This sliding freezer door can also be automated.
- A freezer swing door is generally used for personnel access in small cold and freezer rooms. When opening a swing door, you generally lose less cold air. This in combination with a PVC strip curtain results in optimal energy savings.
The right solution
The choice of door type suitable for the freezer room depends on the function of the space. In most cases, small cold or freezer rooms benefit more from swing doors. In the case of a large freezer room with heavy traffic, a sliding door may be more advantageous.
